last month the ham fam descended in ktown, and dana, ashley and philip joined us for the may long weekend.
on sunday we decided to take a little day trip into prince edward county.
so we drove out to the ferry…

saturday.
.
dana, ashley, grace and I headed up to meet a couple of grace’s friends, to go letterboxing at the guelph arboretum.
what is letterboxing you ask?
yeah, I asked that too.
apparently you get yourself a stamp.
you get yourself some ink.
you get yourself a notebook.
you get some instructions off the interweb that send you on wild goose chases to find hidden boxes.
in those boxes are a stamp and a notebook.
you stamp their stamp in your notebook, and your stamp in their notebook, and sign and date each.
then you put the boxes back for the next person to find.
so we spent our day searching around for a whole bunch of boxes, and it looked a little like this…

tonight was pottery night, and while we were there, a storm started to break out.
except it was still sunny.
so what happened?
you guessed it, a rainbow!
or rather, two rainbows.
so I thought I’d quickly post some photos of the view from the pottery studio window…

did you miss me?
since dana and ashley have been working for the past while on their move to edmonton, and dana is as busy as a mouse in a crazy cat lady’s house, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to post. I’ve been going through some serious blog withdrawal, and there has been so much to photograph this summer that I’m going to have to post pretty frequently in order to get through the ridiculous backlog of photos.
so let’s get on it!
