february fun

0

sunday.

.

squeaking in just under the wire.

so yes, “february fun” is rather an oxymoron, I do realize that. february is by far my least favourite month of the year. it’s dreary and full of slush, and by now, I’m sick of winter and just don’t want to have to deal with it anymore. but does february care? nope. it just keeps on sucking.

in vancouver, spring was in the air in february, and it was awesome. by the end of the month the gardens would already be blooming. I used to grab my camera and take lots of photos of all the flowers, and would marvel every spring at just how early it would arrive. so being back in the slush and dreary makes me grumbly.

so I thought I’d try to redeem this month of yuckyness with some photos of us having fun.

this month saw the superbowl, valentines day, dinners out with the ladies, trips out east, the diamond bowling classic (photos courtesy of josh because I forgot my camera – duh), more snow (how is that fun exactly? oh never mind) and the olympics… which I cannot rebroadcast without the express written consent of the olympics broadcast consortium, under penalty of death, so you won’t be seeing any of that. however, I did manage to get my hands on (in) some red mitten action, so that may show up somewhere.

and so, here are our attempts at having fun in february…

open doors hamilton

sunday.

.

yesterday I took off to hamilton for open doors.

dana, ashley and I headed downtown, went to the maker’s market (where I bought a couple of pairs of cute earrings), went to the anglican church, some artists studios, the grotto restaurant, and the art gallery of hamilton. it was a really nice day, and we had fun wandering around…
